Tulsa’s Anchor Buys Colorado Oilfield Trucking Company
Tulsa based Anchor Drilling Fluids USA, Inc., the largest independent drilling fluids company in the United States, announced that it has recently completed the acquisition of Toby’s Vacuum Truck Service, Inc., the leading tank truck service company in Colorado’s Piceance Basin.
Founded in 1989, Toby's provides fresh water to drilling operators and water hauling services to over 1,500 producing wells in the Piceance Basin in northwestern Colorado. Toby’s will retain its name and continue to be led by Robert “Toby” LeBorgne, the company’s founder.
"Toby's management has established an extraordinary reputation for high quality and predictable service”, said Anchor President Phil West. “The acquisition will also provide Toby’s with the capability to grow with the increasing water hauling requirements of the Piceance Basin as additional long-life wells are completed each week”.
Colorado’s Piceance Basin is one of the nation's largest non-conventional natural gas plays. Drilling targets the prolific tight gas sands of the basin, with wells averaging over 30 years of production.
“Toby’s customers are committed to environmental stewardship and the majority of the produced water is recycled for use in their operations”, said Anchor CEO Bob West. "Additionally, the acquisition enables Anchor to better serve its existing drilling fluid customers in the Piceance Basin and broadens our product offerings to provide both drilling and production support services”.
Anchor is a leading drilling fluid, engineering and oil and gas well-site service provider in the Rockies, Mid-Con, Arkansas and Permian Basin. Anchor employs one of the most experienced engineering, technical and distribution teams in the industry providing customized solutions for many diverse drilling requirements.
